In this post we share a quick interview with a very talented student named Zachary Noel. After finding us through Pyramind mentor Steven Schwartz, Zach has enrolled in the Electronic Music Producer program to further his skills in all around production.
Pyramind: What made you decide to choose Pyramind for your education?
Zach: I’ve always felt a deep connection to live music and the community that surrounds it. There have been many times in my life when the music has brought me “home” again and reminded me why I’m here. For the last five years, I’ve been managing the distribution and training of practitioners for an Austrian light therapy technology here in the US.
My work has led me to discover the profound potential of vibrational healing modalities and immersive group experiences. I incorporate various elements of frequency-based healing including specific frequencies of light, sound and vibration.
The aim is to create containers that evoke an expanded sense of self and via brain entrainment and deep nervous system relaxation. There’s a lot of magic to be found in our subconscious. The goal of my work is to create a bridge to what lies beneath our conscious mind to help light the way “home” for all who will benefit. When I found Pyramind I knew it would be the perfect place to learn how to incorporate cutting edge spacial audio elements into my immersive installations. I’m excited to see what the future holds on the other side of the current state of the world. All the negative aside, this time has given me the chance to slow down and delve into the world of frequency via the lens of audio production.
P: What program did you choose and what made you decide to choose it?
Z: I chose the EMP program because it suited my needs, schedule and also my budget. The experience has been deep on every level. I’ve learned so much and made some friends that I’m sure will last a lifetime while exploring my edge and honing my skills at Pyramind.
P: How did you get involved with bioharmonics?
Z: My first experience with Bioharmonic Technologies was in Sedona, AZ. At the time I had been touring with the light technology for about two years straight and was very deep in the world of vibrational healing and energy work. I was living out of a tour van and traveling the world offering my services as a practitioner at various healing centers, retreats and transformational gatherings around the globe.
When I met Steven Schwartz we immediately recognized a shared mission and felt a sense of brotherhood. He had also been traveling with an earlier prototype of his VIBE systems and basically living the same lifestyle. Our shared mission was to heal and expand consciousness of our fellow human beings. Our companies were at a similar stage of development and our friendship started there. Over the last few years I’ve bumped into Steven and his reps at consciousness conferences and festivals around the US. In 2018 I took a break from touring and settled down in the SF bay area to launch my project Quantum Light Experience. In early 2020 he took a trip out to establish his presence in San Francisco and we planned a meeting to share vibrational healing experiences. Turns out the meeting was at Greg Gordon’s house and it was there that I discovered Pyramind. The rest is history.
P: What has been the most influential piece of knowledge or lesson you learned while in school?
Z: Well it’s hard to say. There’s been a lot of inspiration and many epiphanies throughout my time here. I would have to say it’s the knowledge that I can live my dream and create the kind of music that has inspired me throughout the years that has been the catalyst for a lot of positive change in my life this year. It also helps to know that there is a community like the current students and staff out there to support me as I unfold and grow into the artist I’m meant to be. There are some incredible producers and a really inclusive energy here that makes evolving a beautiful and easeful process. Gratitude abounds!
P: If you could give any advice to someone who wants to study music, what would it be?
Z: As always I would say follow your heart. Do it for the love of the art and the shared experience. There’s been a lot of darkness coming to light surrounding the music scene and the political situation in recent months. I see it as a necessary step towards the evolution into something greater and more aligned. It’s time for equality and integrity in the music scene and the world at large, both need our authentic expression now more than ever.
P: What kind of music do you make?
Z: I’m currently working on a more psychedelic/sound design heavy bass project called Earthereal that will launch in 2021
P: Where can we find your tunes?
Z: Visit www.lucialightportal.com to keep up with my ever-evolving project – The Quantum Light Experience! I’m also excited to unveil work under the moniker Earthereal in 2021.
